This will be our twelfth Best of Belron event. Around 30 competitors - one from each Belron business - will travel to Lisbon to take part. To qualify for the global competition, each technician will have already faced fierce opposition to win their national country title.

The Competition has been running for over 22 years and has named eleven Belron technicians as global champions from countries including the UK, Belgium, The Netherlands, Germany and USA.

What can you expect?

Over the two days, the technicians will demonstrate their knowledge of the ‘Belron Way of Fitting’ and attendees will experience first-hand their skills and the real care they take when they serve customers around the world. Each technician will be tested on all aspects of their job, including how to:

• repair a windscreen;
• replace a windscreen;
• replace side glass;
• carry out the recalibration of an advanced driver assistance system.

The Competition is judged by a team of technical trainers from across our businesses. Each competitor is allowed to have one person - their coach – to advise and support them through the more challenging moments in the event.

Throughout the Competition, we aim to inspire and motivate every one of our technicians to achieve the same levels of excellence as the winning technician.

The winner of the competition will be announced by Belron CEO, Carlos Brito at an awards ceremony and gala dinner – they will receive a year’s salary and the title ‘Best of Belron 2024’.
